Help me cook some thick cut bacon

I know how to cook them, I’m doing them in the oven, 400 deg 15-20 mins.
What I’m asking is should I do something with them before hand.
What should I add to them before cooking, sprinkle brown sugar, fruit jam, pepper jelly, ????
For dinner tonight, I’m making roasted corn grits, thick bacon, and kind of an avocado toast made with English muffin.
I’m just wondering if I need to add something to the bacon (it is store bought, packaged bacon, 2oz a slice)

If you add brown sugar or some jam at the beginning of cooking it that temperature there's a good chance it will burn.
Put the bacon on a rack to keep it directly off the pan and not swimming in the rendered fat that will drip from the bacon as it cooks. If you must add sweet stuff like brown sugar or jam, then do it near the end of the cook cycle.

Be sure to flip them often after harvesting them.

Cut the heat to 375, or 350. And don’t put any stuff on good bacon.

I ended up sprinkling brown sugar on them, very light.

I like John Henry's Mojave Garlic (found at the patio place by seigan and perkins) and a little brown sugar

thick cut bacon is best cooked fried in a pan on low heat. The longer it cooks the better. do not fry it up quick

Been doing my appetizer bacon with brown sugar and cayenne and twisting it before putting on the baking rack in the oven.
Regular meal bacon just gets fried in a pan. I know oven baking is the chef method but I love me some old fashioned greasy pan fried bacon.

Agreed, but I get pretty much that same thing in my air fryer without the grease splatters. Air fryer is my favorite way to cook bacon.

Google Millionaire Bacon, or billionaire bacon.

Bacon looks like it was cooked about an hour too long my friend. Unless that's what you were going for. And if so, well done.
