Battered chicken wings BLOW. No way Hooter's is even in the top 10.

Then just order them naked...

I was a manager at a Hooter's for a short time. I have always thought that they have the best wings by far of any of the national chains. The main reason is that they are breaded that morning and deep fried. Most places just send frozen wings through an oven and call it a day. I assume this is what BWWs does because there wings always suck no matter which one I go to.

Plus, Hooter's hot sauce is like the perfect level of hot and flavor to me. Anything lower than that and you are basically getting your wings covered in butter flavored crisco.

We used Bentley sauce at our Hooters. It was just 3 Mile Island with a bunch of extra jalepenos and cayenne pepper. There really was no specific recipe.

Buffalo Wild Wings kills Hooters. I definitely don't go to the Owl for the food...except for the chicken and sausage gumbo which is okay, and maybe the french fries / fried pickles...food at Hooters sucks.

I know I am in the minority that thinks BWWs wings suck. I guess it is just bad luck that almost everytime I go in there and order wings they come out luke warm, dry and swimming in sauce.

I won't order wings at BWW because I'm so used to he Hooters wings. I at least want it to look like I'm getting my money's worth. We used 3 mile as a base too. I used to hit the farmer's markets to get good quality peppers and spices. It makes a difference. As far as Hooters gumbo see my above post about them trying that crap in Louisiana. It wasn't any good anyways. For those who like BWW I hope it's for the sauce and not for the wing itself.

Yeah, unless the recipe has changed, our gumbo was just a bag of what looked like gravy that we stuck into a pot of boiling water and heated it up, same with the ribs. I can't tell you how many compliments I got on the gumbo and the ribs in Huntsville, AL.

When we took over West Monroe they had that crap there. The only thing HOA had in that store that I liked was the pasta salad. We gave the rest of the stuff to charity.

I actually don't like chicken very much. I'm a red-meat eater, so I definitely like Pluckers and BWW for the sauce.
