Big Mike's Smokehouse
Song Phi Nong (Thai)
White Bowl (Viet)
A-Bear's (plate lunches)
Bilello's Cafe
Dominique Bistro (never had lunch there but enjoyed dinner the couple times I went)

If you're on the east side of town or close to the tunnel I'd add Melvins to that list

Forgot about that place because I've only been for dinner
Excellent food

+1 on Melvin's. Some interesting things pop up on its daily specials list...and a table with a canalside view is a pleasant way to pass the lunch hour. Had a gazpacho @ Melvin's that was surprisingly good; I know it's not the sort of place one expects good gazpacho.

You can add TARC to the list if you on the East Side, they have good beignets for breakfast too.
Also on the East Side Pizza express has a solid lunch buffet with a pretty decent salad bar for $9 drink inclduded.
Across from the East Houma Library there's a taco wagon that has some some pretty good real Mexican food.
Behind Buches Jewelers on GC road there's a catering place that does plate lunches, I forgot the name of it but it's pretty good too.
ETA; It's Michelles.
I don't ever venture to the Westside for lunch so I can't help you there other than what's been mentioned. You can add Athens in the Canatta's parking lot. They have so pretty decent Greek food.
