15 to 20, if you have side dishes, an' the womenz don't try to out eat all the men.

I'd go 20, particularly if they're head on shrimp. No less than that.

We do a 1.5 lb per person and a 1.5 for the pot. So about 20-22 lbs

2 or 3 lbs per person I would think

You can eat a lot of shrimp at once!

We did 10 lbs at ZZ's for the WC game this past Sunday. We also fried fish.
15 lbs would of been just right IMO.

Im amazed at the responses. 15 pds with sides would be WAY more than enough. Actually 1/2 pd per person with sides would be plenty. Most men wont eat a pd and sides and women will eat less.

This is the correct answer imo. Between 1/2lb and 1lb is plenty of shrimp if you have anything else to eat on.

Depends on the size of the shrimp. At a shrimp boil, I like to overeat and I usually overeat because I want to eat a lot of shrimp. Size doesn't matter. I'm shooting for 30-40 shrimp.

I am woman and I can eat nearly a pound without heads. I might eat an ear of corn if its not the frozen kind and maybe one small potato. I stick with the shrimp. Most men I know won't eat less than a pound unless there's other food like fried fish or some good sides other than just corn and potatoes.

Most women will eat about a half pound with sides. I kind of figure he would have more sides than just corn and potatoes in the boil.I would hope so at least.

Plan for:
About 1 pound for women
2 pounds for men
And enjoys the leftovers for yourself later. :-)

And I know to much to go back an' pretend,
cause I've eaten swimps, too many times before.
