How many shrimp can you eat before you get iodine poisoning?

It is problematic for people with thyroid problems. I take synthroid. And I eat the shite out of shrimp.

Please tell me more. For at least the last decade, anytime I eat shellfish, I get violently ill. About two hours after eating shellfish, I get very nauseous and then have extreme vomiting and diarrhea. Not good. Needless to say, I haven't eaten any shellfish in many years. But I miss it. And it has severely limited my menu choices.
