Spaghetti and Meatball was okay while eating it, but now it feels like I can need to go into a diabetic coma.

I knew we should have gone to DiGiulio’s

I love Monjunis and grew up with a sweet Sicilian red gravy, no issue here.

Not only are they the best Italian restaurant in the city, one could even argue that they are the best in the state.

I loved the restaurant, red checkeded table tops, wine selection, bread was good… just wish the red sauce didn’t give me the same aftermath of eating a jumbo pack of skittles

I can't stand their sauce. Did not grow up on sweet sauces and I do not find them appealing at all.

Anthonys deli isn’t far from there. I prefer their red sauce.

The sauce has changed over the years.

We make sweet sauces but theirs tastes like it is the high fructose corn syrup version of a sweet Sicilian sauce.

Gino's, I like several other places, DiGiulio's, Anthony's, but Gino's is in a class by itself.

Don't sleep on Ninos either. It's a fantastic BR Italian restaurant

Not sure if all locations offer it, but they have an alternative basil sauce. It's been years, but I recall it is less sweet than the regular sauce but still has some sweetness.

You seem like a drama queen.

Strangely Monjunis has possibly the best frozen margarita in BR.

Is that the small place in a shopping center on Bluebonnet? I think I went there years ago and remember liking it

I love Monjuni's red sauce. I get the lasagna almost everytime we go. We buy their sauce in a jar to make spaghetti at home. My favorite by far.

I am not fond of ketchup with 1/2 ton of sugar mixed with it. I went through a phase where I did like Monjunis but I cannot stand it now.

I do find their sauce too sweet for entrees, but I like it as a dip for the bread and toasted ravioli. I like the ambiance, and my SO is a sweet sauce guy, so we go once in a while. Both prefer Gino’s for traditional Italian, though.

Good Lord! You need to get out more…a LOT more.

This place isn’t even in the top three in Baton Rouge.

Next time, order the Shrimp Aurora- it’s a mixture of sweet sauce and Alfredo sauce and it’s the best thing on the menu.
