Having a bbq for my boyfriend this weekend and was thinking of some good drink ideas. Anyone have any good suggestions for infused bourbon combinations? Or any other different drink ideas you would recommend?
TIA
TIA

bacon bourbon!
For real though, I've tried a bacon vodka that was pretty tasty. And a honey bourbon and fig bourbon that were good.
My favorite was the honey bourbon.

Sweet things are always infused in bourbon - figs, honeycomb, etc...
But there are some other things people do like bacon. but that involves fat washing which may be a more complicated process than you are willing to undertake.
I find rosemary is a great infuser of darker liquors like bourbon or rum.

I recently had a Buffalo Soldier at Dick and Jenny's that I really enjoyed. From their website... Buffalo Trace Bourbon, Lemoncello, Crème De Cassis & Regans’ Orange Bitters Shaken; Topped With An Orange Twist
I found this from a google search. It is practically the same but they use actual jam...
Buffalo Soldier
2.5 parts Buffalo Trace bourbon
1 part limoncello
1 teaspoon black currant jam or fig spread
2 to 3 drops Fee’s orange bitters
Orange rind
Shake first three ingredients over ice (the jam will cloud the drink anyway). Strain into martini glass. Garnish with orange rind, twisted to release oils.
I also came across this where they use pecan infused bourbon. Sounds interesting.

Not bourbon, but I had a drink at hearsay lounge in Houston that was really good. It was called the El Diablo. Tequila, Creme de Cassis, lime, and ginger beer.

Using a bit of your idea, a bourbon with orange blossom honey and lemon zest would be tasty.

Damn straight. That sounds like an awesome idea, maybe when the first cold front comes through. A warm toddy based on that gameplan is in order

A new place in Dallas is serving coffee infused bourbon. I haven't had it yet, but it sounds like a good cold-weather drink. Maybe not so much in the summer, though.
