Slight change of topic but I personally do not like bottled blue cheese. Anyone have an awesome homemade recipe for blue cheese dressing?

Find the recipe for Morton's Steak House blue cheese dressing. It's simple to make.

Everyone says you need the restaurant quality mayo to make something better than bottled. IDK what that mayo is called or if it’s sold to the public, but I’m sure it’s a Sysco product.

Yes, they have it at Sam's club. I can't remember the name off the top of my head

Litehouse is the best I've ever had. Anything that is bought in the non-refrigerated aisle is crap.

I’m a Litehouse fan. Find it at Sam’s, Publix, and Kroger around here.

This is my favorite. The O'Charley's one is pretty good as well. Marzetti if those 2 aren't available. The ones in the produce section are all better than the stuff on the salad dressing aisle.

I go through a jar of blue cheese every week or two. I LOVE it.

Average size. Sliced carrots and cauliflower with blue cheese dressing is one of my go-to snacks, and is often included in my lunch I bring to work as well.

No, because they have to add too much vinegar and preservatives to it which ruins the taste and makes it too tangy.

Just make it yourself

Mayo, Sour Cream, Blue Cheese Crumbles, Salt, Milk, Garlic.

My ratio is usually 2:1 sour cream to mayo. So 1 cup of sour cream to 1/2 cup of mayo. I match the blue cheese to the sour cream, so if you use 1 cup of sour cream, 1 cup of blue cheese crumbles. You add as much milk as you need for consistency. I start at 2 tablespoons and go from there until it has the right thickness. Salt and garlic to taste. I usually have a clove or two of garlic and just a dash of salt.

However the blue cheese that is sold refrigerated is pretty close. Litehouse Brand is not a bad choice.

I used to work at a high end restaurant in NOLA many years ago, The "secret homemade" blue cheese dressing was Marie's with extra Maytag Blue Cheese and a splash of milk & vinegar.

Not really but the lighthouse brand is not bad and if you add some real maytag blue and some sour cream and maybe a pinch of garlic salt pepper it can be really good. Add shake of Tabasco too. This can be great with non blue cheese folks.

Worked in a bar for years and we got the 5 gallon jugs of the marzetti to serve with our wings. Always the GOAT for me
