I've accidentally eaten a bay leaf

ive always heard not to eat them and have even told guests not to eat the bay leaf in my cooking.
Yet, I'm afraid I've eaten one. Will I die or get terminally ill? Should I attempt to kill any side effect with alcohol?

Are your affairs in order? I am need of a nice waffle iron if you have no next of kin.

No waffle iron. How about a George Forman?

Another dumb old wives tale that way too many people believe. Actually had people get upset because I didn't get all of then out of a gumbo.
I almost took their gumbo away at a tailgate

You'll need copious amounts of brown liquor and toilet paper

Well if I'm gonna go out, I'm gonna go drunk off bourbon.

If you're not sure what is going to happen to you then why do you tell people not to eat them?

No need.
But seriously, how did you ingest a freaking leaf?

Made just 2 portions of pastalaya, just a quick and dirty version. Put in one bay leaf at beginning.
Ate one portion just now.
Thought about it.
Dugg thru 2nd portion, not there.

Smoke some cigarettes. It will kill the poison.
Eta: try vomitting them up first

Why would you cook with something you're not supposed to eat?

You're Klark Kent! Your other self will kick in and you'll be fine.
All kidding aside, you'll be fine. Bay leaves have sharp edges that can cut little the sensitive stomach lining of little kids and they also don't wilt.
But you'll be fine.

You will be dumping blood for a few days, as it will slice your intestines like a serrated knife.

Sound logic. You're not supposed to eat raw chicken so why cook with raw chicken?
