We just got one here in town and been thinking about grabbing something from there.
What's your go to?

I haven't had a Whataburger since HS, but my go to was a Double Meat Whataburger w/ Cheese.
Not sure I could handle the consequences of consuming one today.

The best thing at Whataburger is the Justaburger (just mustard, pickles and onions) and add jalapenos.
And it’s best ordered in the morning so you know it’s made fresh. It’s the size and calories that burgers used to be before we supersized our waist lines.

So you eat 700 calories a day? That seems more detrimental to one’s health than a cheeseburger

Sweet and spicy melt or hatch chile burger. Both are absolutely fantastic.

Sweet and spicy bacon burger.
Still upset they did away with the grilled chicken tacos. For as shite as Whataburger's breaded and fried chicken is, their grilled chicken, and especially the taco with all the grilled onions and peppers, was money.

My kids wanted Whataburger Wednesday afternoon as we passed through Vicksburg.
I picked up a brisket sandwich from the Goldie's Express next door, took it inside, and ordered myself fries and a drink. Mrs. Wanda asked me why I was bringing in someone else's food to eat in her establishment. I told Mrs. Wanda I was not trying to be messy, just paying for the boys to eat the burgers they craved while I craved a brisket sandwich from Goldie's. She said her sister was working at the Goldie's next door, same time. I replied, Mrs Yvonne???
She smiles and asked me how I knew Yvonne was her sister. I replied saying they both have exceptional customer service skills and care about their jobs.
Mrs Wanda offered the boys free Dr Pepper shakes after their meals. They both said they were excellent.

I eat Whataburger about twice per year. I think it's overrated, but better than McDonald's, Wendy's etc.

A normal home cooked meal typically would have this. More quality and quantity sure, but still.

#2 with cheese and jalapenos
Bacon or sausage taquito, unwrap it, then put your hashbrowns in the taquito.

This. Everyone raved about Whataburger and when I tried it, I was really underwhelmed.
For a fast food burger, Shake Shack is my go to.

Patty melt if later in the day although sometimes I get it for breakfast too.
Breakfast burger or sausage breakfast burrito with a side of creamy pepper sauce.

Give the Apple or Lemon pie a try. Closest thing to the 1980's McDonald's pie that I've found.
