J. Alexander took the Rattlesnake Pasta away...very disappointed

Ever since the place opened back in the 00's, the rattlesnake pasta is one of the top entrees I would order. And usually when I'm there, I'd see many other people order the same thing.
Well I went last night and they had it off the menu, and it was replaced with a bayou Cajun pasta.
Tried the new pasta and it was awful. Awful to where I brought a large amount of leftovers home and I prob won't reheat. Not such a "bayou" type flavor and they used popcorn shrimp as well.
I still love the restaurant but was highly disappointed for the first time.

Could be wrong, but I don't think they offer those delicious buttery croissants upon request at J A's anymore.

Things I like about J. A's:
Shoestring French fries
Prime rib sandwich
Really good burgers
I could be wrong, but I thought they opened in late 90's?

Mall of LA opened in October of 97 and I felt like it was opened when the mall opened.

I really like the crab cakes at JA's. Also the fried artichoke app is money as well as their fried shrimp app.

Every J Alexander's I've been to seemed like a mediocre Houston's/Hillstone imitation

I mean, I'll still go b/c I enjoy the other food, but that pasta was always my go-to.
Next time I'll just get the spinach con queso and the steak Maui

actual rattlesnake?
One of the best sausages I've ever had was at New Bohemia in Minneapolis. It was the rattlesnake rabbit jalapeno sausage.

I've never tried it and don't think I would like it. I honestly didn't know people actually ate rattlesnake. Sounds horrible

Was there the other night and noticed the menu change. The Rattlesnake pasta was amazing but they had changed it up in the last few years and it wasn't as good as it was 10 years ago or so.
We also had a horrible waitress which was a first for that place. She didn't know how to open the bottle of wine. There were 4 of us at the table and she over poured so badly that there was none left in the bottle by the time she got to the last person. We had to all pour some from our glasses.
There is no actual rattlesnake in the pasta, people. It was a reference to the seasoning blend they used, I guess it was southwest?

It's not actually rattlesnake. It's chicken with some SW spices to it lol
