Jason's Deli - Muffuletta Bread

I plan on making a muffuletta this weekend for the Saints game in DC. Obviously I can get everything relatively easily except the bread.
I found a recipe online, but I also read in a couple of places that Jason's Deli gets their muffuletta bread shipped in from New Orleans.
So, #1 - do they? And, #2 - is it good? There is a Jason's Deli in Falls Church, VA, and I was considering going over there to see if they'll just sell me the bread.

Last time I went to Jason's Deli I don't remember them having a muff.

When is the last time you went? I could swear when I went there last week that they didn't have it on the menu. I know they used to, I used to work there.

Their distributor for Muff. bread is Leindenheimer out of New Orleans. Yes, they will sell you just the bread.

It's been a few months, but check out page 3 on this link:

I always get the manager's special: 1/4 muffaletta with broccoli cheese soup, bag of chips and a pickle.

I had one at Jason's Deli a couple of years ago and I don't remember being very wowed by it or the bread. To me, what makes a muffuletta is the meat, cheese and olive mix. I've made good ones using Kaiser rolls.

If I go to Jason's Deli, I'm only getting the bread. Olive salad is marinating in the fridge now.

I have made Muffalettas with homemade focaccia. Very good and easy to make.

I'm not a big fan of sesame seeds on my buns. I mean who has ever seen a full grown sesame? :rimshot:

Thats what i usually get but i dip my muff in the broccoli and cheese soup so i guess that ruins the point of getting a muff. Although the soup is very good.
