They don't make it anymore. Is anyone else puzzled? Everyone I knew used this stuff. I substitute velveeta and liquid garlic in my cheese grits. It's still not the same...

Got some in my fridge now. I bought it within the last 2 months. I thought it was discontinued a few years back, but I guess not.

When they stopped making the Green label (Jalepeno) roll, about 6 or 7 years ago, we switched to Mexican velveeta and now pepper jack velveeta for Spinach Madeline. Not a noticable difference.
The Black label (Garlic) roll will be hard to replace for the holiday Broccoli Dip. Wonder if they'll make a Garlic Velveeta.

I used it for one recipe as well. I add fresh chopped garlic with the velveeta. I put in fresh jalapeno for the other.

They sure ticked off Southerners at holiday time by taking it away.

I looked for it last week at Albertsons. Mgr told me they couldn't get it anymore. Substituted velveeta & the dish (brocoli casserole) came out fine.

Albertson's, Wal Mart and Winn Dixie all have it. I bought some the other day.

Hey Martini, if you just bought some, send me some. I haven't seen it in an age. Last time I saw it, the stuff was being sold, but according to the dates on the tube, it had expired.

Garlic Cheese Rolls

1 1/2 pounds sharp cheddar cheese, grated
1/2 pound processed cheese product such as Velveeta
3 ounces cream cheese
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
Garlic powder to taste

Soften cheeses and mix all together well. Shape into four rolls and wrap well in foil or plastic wrap.
