Lafayette Seafood Restaurant recommendations

Coming in from North Carolina and visiting Lafayette for the first time since the early 90s.
I enjoy a good gumbo, raw oysters, and seafood po-boy. Where would you recommend? I do not mind driving outside of Lafayette to find the right place.

Dupuy’s in abbeville is my favorite seafood joint
Shucks, Don’s, poor boys riverside, and Fezzos also worth trying.

Poor Boy's Riverside. Get the crab stuffed anything.

My vote goes to Dupuy’s, also. Freshest seafood in my opinion.

We had a large family gathering at Don's last Spring. Everything was great except someone had a shrimp po-boy that while not bad wasn't as good as the other dishes.

You didn't share specifics of your plans, nor do you need to, but all of the recommendations above are excellent.

Don's is for old people with no taste buds.

Don's has a good crawfish bisque.
Usually go to Dupuy's in Abbeville for fried seafood.
Pop's has the best poboys in the area, IMO.

Shuck's in Abbeville is our favorite. Riverfront right down the road from there is good as well. I don't get the love for Fezzo's though. I've tried it a few times and was never impressed. The fried catfish was full of black, goopy shite.

If you wanna rough it like a real baw, go to Lagneaux's.

I think they do it one day a week, I could be wrong. But there is always the 1/2 lb appetizer or the 1 lb dinner available.
