Thought I saw a few people knocking this place ... we went for the first time today ...all the food was good...service was good...and it was a fun environment ... I have enough leftovers for lunch for the rest of the week .... the fairly large place is at capacity with a wait every Saturday and Sunday all the way from open to close ... I don't think I have ever been anywhere that could say that

We pass a Cracker Barrel in Meridian all the time, the parking lot is always full. New England and the rural south have a lot in common, bland food for the decedents of British & German immigrants.

I've been to Lambert's and CB several times, they are better than the other choices in those areas.

Anytime I drive through Alabama, I make this a stop. It doesn't matter that it's at least a half hour off the interstate, I love this place. Great food, huge portions, and one of the nicest wait staffs.
