Some time back I had a Lemon Drop Martini at the bar of the Sun Dried Tomato restaurant in San Juan Capistrano, CA. It was so good I asked the bartender what was in it. He told me the ingredients, but I forgot to ask him about the portions. So I've been experimenting at home, trying to recreate the drink. I think I finally have it. For anyone who is interested, here it is. This is enough for two regular sized drinks, or one very large one.

*3 ounces of vodka
*2 ounces of fresh squeezed lemon juice (lemon juice concentrate just isn't the same)
*1 ounce of Cointreau
*3/4 ounce of simple syrup

Add ice to a martini shaker, add the ingredients, shake well and pour into a chilled glass.

Optional: At the Sun Dried Tomato the bartender adds a splash of Sprite after he pours the drink into the glass, so you can do that as well if you like.

You have pretty much covered it, but forget about the Sprite. To complete it you need the sugar rimmed martini glass. Go to Clancy’s and have Garth make you one.
