Lipton onion soup mix in a burger....I HATE that!

I went to a bbq yesterday. There was so much food. We are for hours, while we waited for these huge burgers to be grilled. Little did most of us know, the lady who made them used Lipton. I was disappointed. I also have an aunt who always does this, so I know not to eat her burgers. I hate that crap.
Does anyone here like this combo? If so, what's wrong with you?

apparently. Not many people intentionally cook things they wont like.

Yup, I like it, depends on what kind of burger mood I am in, sometimes it is just ground meat, salt n pepper, sometimes an onion soup burger, and sometimes a meatloaf burger with everything in it (eggs, breadcrumbs, mustard, worcestershire sauce, onions, peppers, and anything else I can find

I'm with you. It's a nasty salt bomb that is almost always in shitty overworked meat.

It's worse than a nasty salt bomb. Lipton onion has a horrible aftertaste as well. And yes, the meat is always overworked when people try to overseason their hamburgers.

I don't use that recipe but don't mind it at all. Nice change of pace.

I think the better question is why something has to be wrong with someone for using a seasoning that lsufanabunhoffreakinnumbers didn't approve of? I'll be sure to consult you next time I dare venture away from s/p.

I remember the dark ages of my youth when my dad went on his Lipton kick. Those were some troubled times.

It has to be much better than the ones some old dude has soaked in Dale's all afternoon. I go pretty minimalist with Burgers. I use a burger press, at least 80/20 or 85/15, and just grill them over coals. When my wife makes the patties she ends up putting an egg in them, tons of salt and pepper, and they are overworked.

yet you still manage to bitch about what your host cooked for you. You must be a millennial.
how bout you put the party on next time and cook what you like. Then your ungrateful guests can come over, stuff their faces, and go bitch about it on a message board the next day.

Lipton onion soup has never been a flavor I cared for much. I don't think it's horrible mixed in a burger, but it's not my preference. I will certainly eat it if served by a host. I never liked the onion dip much that people make with it and sour cream. I love the chicken noodle soup, though. When I feel puny, it hits the spot. I like those thin noodles. Easy on the tummy.
