Long shot- Gris-Gris Cayenne liqueur- Old New Orleans/Celebration Distellery

Apparently Old New Orleans Distillery/Celebration Distillery is no more. I found a cayenne liqueur that they made that I enjoy in a mixed drink. It is rum-based and has cayenne and ginger infused in it. It is described as also having house made caramel in the mix.
Has anyone ever made anything similar? I’m thinking of trying to make my own with a base of spiced rum, adding some either caramel flavoring or coming down some brown sugar for that flavor, then steeping with the ginger and cayennes. Does that sound like a good place to start? Anyone have any suggestions? Or a hookup for abandoned stock?
ETA- Added distillery name in title.

I heard they had a fire but can't really find much info. Does anyone know if they're coming back?

I appreciate the suggestion but it’s not the same. I use it in rum based cocktails. Think a spicy dark and stormy.

Number is no longer in service it seems, so not a good sign. I'll see who distributed it and see if they have any left.

Shillings in Laffy used to be the distributor but they do not have anything left and they never had the Gris Girs here. I am checking with a store in nola I been dealing with for a while but I'd say just call any and all stores in the area and see if they have any laying around.

I wouldn't go with spiced rum as you're planning to spice it yourself. Go with something barrel aged as it will have a more mature flavor. Then you should be able to spice it. If you want something local you can grab some oxbow rum from right under the new bridge in Baton Rouge. They get their sugar cane from alma plantation across the river. They can also do rhum agricole which is maybe not rare, but is at least uncommon as it requires fresh pressed cane juice which most rummeries don't have access to. Not the best agricole I've ever had but pretty darn good.

If anyone is interested I actually have a ton of these I'd be willing to let go at retail price.
