Went tonight for the first time since the change in ownership. Still the same excellent service and execution on the food. Still the top BR seafood restaurant.

You know if the one in Orange Beach changed ownership as well?

I’m a huge fan of the fish En' Pappiote', which is their freshly caught fish of the day, lightly coated in home made butter sauce, wrapped in parchment paper, then topped with their world famous Garlic BEUR BLANC.

Did they update the 1980’s decor?

One of my favorite restaurants in Baton Rouge.
The oysters lagniappe are a delicacy.

I got the crab au gratin about 6 months ago, which was disgusting. The middle was cold and the consistency was like pudding.
I got their filet about 3 months ago and it was one of the best filets I've had in BR. It was topped with a wine-like savory butter that was killer.

Baw got a salad and fish in a bag and is showering praise. He doesn’t realize he paid $50 for something he could very easily make at home for $5

These are the lamest responses in any food board thread.

Went there a few months ago… it was outstanding!
The “$6” fish in a bag , and stuffed bell pepper both were great… me and the Mrs. split.
Old fashioned’s were on point, in which seemed like a larger glsss? Maybe I’m wrong….

Any relation to Louisiana Lagniappe in Destin?
Posted on 1/30/25 at 12:17 am to VMO7
The original owner of the Destin location sold it and moved back to BR to open this one in 03. They had a non compete. Destin owners couldn’t come to Louisiana and he couldn’t open outside of Louisiana.
