Spending a few days there in a couple of weeks.

Walnut Hills is an old, family-style restaurant. Think of a big Sunday lunch place.
I like Beechwood on a Friday night. Steak place that has been there forever.
Goldie's BBQ.
10 South Rooftop Bar & Grill is downtown and surprisingly modern for Vicksburg.

Lunch at Walnut Hills. Dinner at Rusty's. Rooftop is worth a visit if if for nothing other than the view.

Yes, good BBQ. It was much better at their old location on the hill years back, IMO.

It's really not anymore. Not like the olden days. The ribs are still decent I guess. But it's not too bad of a lunch spot if you stay away from the bbq.

Rusty's Riverfront. Everytime I'm in Vicksburg I go here. I've only been for lunch, but it is damn good and prices are definitely reasonable.

Never should have left the hill.

Gumbo Pot.
Fried shrimp or oysters, poboy or plate, and several cold beers. Raise one to me if you can.

Key City Brewery is a neat spot to grab a beer. They have food too, but I haven't eaten there.

Second this. We go there for company events when we're in Vicksburg. Pretty good food. Nothing mind blowing but it is good.

Cottonwood downtown is a must for lunch and afternoon drinking
Great pizza and beer (key city)
Walk next door to 10 south around 4:30 for drinks at the rooftop overlooking the river at sunset

Many good recs in this thread. Grab a dozen tamales to go from Solly’s on your way out of town.
