quote:

Home cooks across the South – and in particular, Louisiana’s Cajun country – have a soft spot for Magnalite. Sets of the cookware are treasured family heirlooms passed down through generations. Chatty praise of Magnalite can be found everywhere in the South Louisiana online orbit.

There has never been cookware I despised more than Magnalite

My wife brought one into our marriage, I hated cleaning it with a passion, everything sticks to it. Cast iron is so much better in my opinion.

I told my wife she needs to go raid her dad's kitchen. Her mom had a bunch of Magnalite pans. Since she passed a few years back, he rarely cooks.

Hopefully that is just an unfortunate way to phrase that

Oh holy shite. No, Mom made it through the weekend, thank the lord. That was an unfortunate episode of poor grammar. She is wily.

My mom
Passed away a few months ago. She had enough magnalite pots to leave one to every grandchild and great grandchild. My boys even paid $100 each for very large magnalite roasters.
