Making ramen broth with a slow cooker: is this possible?

I know that you're normally supposed to do it over a stovetop for a very long time (12-24 hours) but if all you're doing is just heating bones to create the broth, I don't see why using a slow cooker wouldn't work. Has anyone tried this out?

Schlitz probably makes better ramen broth than pizza

Will a slow cooker simmer with the lid off?

You can do it, but it produces a less than optimal product:
