His Munchies videos were great.
Suppertime was also a good show.
Just A Dash does absolutely nothing for me.
I really like Matty and have bought a couple of his cookbooks for gifts and whatnot but I don't enjoy what he's been putting out lately.

i don't usually watch just a dash, primarily b/c what he cooks is typically way outside my...preferred culinary interests
i only watch when funny non-cooking stuff happens like in this video. watching him meltdown was great
the butter basting a steak on LSD was also enjoyable

Just A Dash is what got me into Matty. Admittedly it took a couple of episodes to really hit, but now I love it. He's like a funnier Billy Eichner who cooks.
The series he did making recipes from his new cookbook was really good as well.
That said, outside of the chorizo lasagna, not sure how much of his food I would actually make.
ETA: I take it back, Matty and Benny Eat Out America is the best thing he's done. Hot Wings in a Cyro Tank

I agree. I used to like him a lot more. Both Munchies and It’s Suppertime were good, and I still use a couple of the recipes. Just not into Just a Dash.
I also bought his first cookbook, and I find it uncookable. There was a thread on Reddit a while back about which cookbooks you own that you just can’t cook from, and it was the first that came to mind. At least with things like Thomas Keller or Modernest Cuisine, they’re supposed to be that way. Matty’s book completely surprised me being that way.

Matty and Brad Leone from Bon Appetit going noodling is the best thing he’s done IMO. It’s very funny.

Brad could make a 10 minute video doing anything and it would be hilarious.

Can you give any examples? I know what you're talking about because I have some cookbooks like that, but wouldn't expect his to be. And I've made a few of his recipes on youtube in the past with relative success.
