Had a mezcal cocktail at a bar last year and fell in love with the smokiness of the drink. Finally grabbed a bottle here at the house and have been sipping it neat. Tried a cocktail last night that was delicious (recipe below). Wondering if anyone has some other recipes they'd recommend?

5 basil leaves
3 lime slices
2oz mezcal
1.5oz lime juice
1.5oz agave syrup

muddle basil and lime slices. add mezcal, lime juice, agave. shake with ice. pour over ice into a glass with smoked bacon salt on the rim.

Using mezcal instead of vodka in a bloody mary is very good.

A Paloma with mezcal and chile de arbol is a very fine drink.

Pretty tasty. Thanks for the suggestion. I'll try the others, too.
