Milos sauce

how's it made you think?
I'm thinking a mix of bbq sauce and a gravy of some sort. I swear if they sold it in stores like the tea they'd make a fortune but the employees won't give up the recipe.

I think they just mix the grill drippings with commercial BBQ sauce. But, as my close friend, a B'ham lifer, said, "I love the Milo's burgers, but I think you have to grow up with them, most newcomers think they are a greasy mess".
I agree, but the diet tea is pretty good.
I rarely eat a fast food burger, but if he's buying I will eat a few Milos, maybe they will grow on me.
Best B'ham fast food is Zaxby's. I wish RC had a more varied menu.

No idea what the ingredients are, but yeah, they'd make a killing selling that sauce. That stuff is so goooood.
Eta: I doubt the employees know the ingredients. It used to be made in-house, but I'd assume it's now made at a factory, and shipped out to each store.

Yeah they sell it in AL. But not in LA.

Yes they do, WF for one, and I have seen it other places.

Maybe they do but I've never seen it. Not in Wal-Mart, Albertson's, or Brookshire's in NELA.

I'm Birmingham born and bred, but I can't stand Milo's. Their burgers just taste burnt, and that sauce is just a bitter tasteless mess. I've tried to like their food. It's a requirement if you're from the Ham. I just can't. So I'm stuck just getting a chicken finger basket and some honey mustard every time I'm forced to go there by my friends.
I do like Hamburger Heaven, but I don't think their burgers are anything to write home about. Their spinning wheel milk shakes are the shite.
Oh and...Guthrie's is better than Zaxby's by a large margin.

Just moved to Birmingham about a month ago. I haven't had a burger in weeks, and I tried Milo's off of 280 for lunch today.
Nasty arse burger. The BBQ sauce is the only flavor you get. I had the double cheeseburger, and I couldn't even taste the cheese. You could just lump store bought sauce on a burger bun with a sauce logged pickle and get the same effect.
I like the fries. Thick cut and salty. And the sweet tea is good.
I won't be ordering that again.

I never was a Milo's fan when I lived there (6 yrs) but I do love their sweet tea. I think it's just sweet tea + mint.

The Milos sauce is worchestershire sauce based. I learned that a long time ago. It isn't made in stores anymore so the workers probably don't know what it is. I asked a manager one time and he said he didn't know exactly.
The tea can be bought in baton rouge at Walmart. There is no mint in it. It's just really sweet tea. It's delicious.
Milos is like crack. A lot of people try it and never go back. Most of us try it and get hooked. It's the best fast food in Alabama hands down.

I'd take a Double Whopper with cheese any day over that Milos Mess Burger. Or Wendy's, Sonic, and Hardees. And that's just the low end fast food.

Milos is like crack. I could literally eat it every day.

What are you doing for the game? Is there an LSU alumni association here in town?

I think there is in Bham, but I havent been here long enough to find them. And honestly, I don't like watching LSU games with a ton of LSU people. There always ends up being an embarassing jackass. (True for large groups of any fanbase).
A Barner friend of mine from Huntsville is coming down for a day long football/grilling fest. I just hope we stay relatively sober for the LSU game.
We're practicing for a BBQ cookoff in Cullman in a few weeks.
