Moe’s Original BBQ - Anyone Have the Red BBQ Sauce Recipe?

I have searched and searched online and cannot find anyone providing a recipe that replicates Moe’s red bbq sauce. Their white bbq sauce is on a few different sites, which is pretty good, but not what I’m looking for. Anyone have a good recipe that closely replicates their red sauce?

No responses and 1 downvote, ouch. I’ll give this a bump just in case.

I do not know the recipe. No responses = nobody knows.

Well in case anyone else is curious, I made this recipe that looks a lot like it. It is fairly similar, but I’m going to have to go buy some of Moe’s sauce so I can taste them side by side and adjust the Memphis-Style recipe to get it closer to Moe’s.
Memphis-Style BBQ Sauce
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups tomato sauce
1/2 cup cider vinegar
1/3 cup rice vinegar
1/3 cup molasses
3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons packed dark brown sugar
2 teaspoons yellow mustard
1 teaspoon Louisiana hot sauce
1 teaspoon Kosher salt
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Melt butter in medium saucepan over medium heat. Add onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
Add tomato sauce, cider vinegar, rice vinegar, molasses, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, mustard, hot sauce, salt, black pepper, and cayenne and stir to combine. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer until slightly thickened, about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Transfer sauce to the jar of a blender and blend until smooth. Let cool to room temperature, transfer to a jar and store in refrigerator for up to a month.

I just don’t think this board is very interested in Moe’s. There’s only one in Louisiana and it’s not popular here.

I disagree but that’s fine. The NOLA Uptown as well as the Metairie location both did / do very well, and I know plenty of BR people that always get it when they go to the Orange Beach area. The Metairie location’s quality isn’t as good as the Uptown was for whatever reason, but before the price hikes it was the best bang for you buck BBQ in the NOLA metro area, and their sauce is awesome, hence the thread. Appreciate your helpful input though.

Bro, you have 5/8 of the replies to your own post which you bumped because nobody responded. But you’re right, Moe’s is popular.

The uptown location is closed. Yes, great bang for buck. $10 would get you a pulled pork sandwich, two sides and tea.

I didn’t care for their sauce. It tasted a little “spoiled” or sour, but not a vinegar sour. But, I like sweet sauces better, like sweet baby Ray and Tony Roma’s sweet Carolina. Is there any TR’s still open anywhere?

I ate at the one in Daphne a few weeks ago, pretty damn good BBQ, mixed drinks were very cheap too.
