Anybody know what day or days that is?
I think it used to be the 1st and 15th, but I don`t know. Old rap songs, used to say stuff like that.

The 1st and the 15th are a lot of people's pay periods. I imagine that is why you've heard them.

Got a little Lafayette homerism I see.
Not one single place that I mentioned is in Lafayette

Do you understand what the phrase "not even close" actually means?
I know exactly what it means, but apparently you don't, so I'll simplify it for you.
What do you consider to be the best overall restaurant in Baton Rouge? In my opinion, it's Maison Lacour. Now -- take Maison Lacour, and compare it to the best of New Orleans, and on a broader scale, the best of the entire state of Louisiana. Is it still the best? Not even close.
I rest my case.

You're right. I should've said Acadiana.

Good. Because you sound like a fool.

Was acadiana the only area capable of mastering the art of the perfectly cooked crawfish? I missed the memo...
Then your comparison of BR to Nola, well that didn't work at all and I don't even know what to offer in rebuttal.
I still don't get it

I've lived in laffy taffy for a good chunk of my life, I've had just about every crawfish place you can imagine...Randy Montalbano's is the best I've had in the BR and Laffy area

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree. Not quite sure what was so hard to understand; I never compared BR to NOLA
Montalbano's is best in BR, I'll give you that. But it's not close to some of the aforementioned places, in my opinion (and not all of them are in Acadiana, btw.) However, if you think it's better, I certainly respect your opinion.

No, my Pittsburgh fandom goes back to 2007 when LSU needed them to pull the huge upset over West Virginia
