Ninja just launched a frozen drink maker that can turn any drink into a slushy
Something tells me this is going to be one of the hot gifts for this holiday season.
In Stock at 1:28pm EDT on Fri., Oct 11

While you may already make frozen drinks at home — in fact, it's one of the tests we use when reviewing the best blenders — crushed ice can melt in minutes, leaving your frozen margarita weak and watered-down.
Ninja's solution? Remove the ice entirely. Using an auger to spin drinks around a central cooling cylinder, the Ninja Slushi uses its WhisperChill compressor to make frozen drinks in as little as 15 minutes and keep drinks frozen for up to 12 hours. You can add anything from soda and juice to coffee, and even wine, but the drinks will need to be sugary in order to achieve that slushy consistency.
Although we'd have no trouble firing up the Slushi for the family to use, there's also a Premium XL capacity to choose from that can make enough drinks for a crowd.

Whoops. That didn't last long.
Mrs. Vox ordered hers last week, and it shipped on Friday. She called their customer service after stalking the page for over a week and they said that "mid-August" would be the restock window. I'm sure there will be more soon.
The press release from last month says that it'll be available at Walmart, Kohl's & Target, but it's so new that there wasn't even a listing for it on each of their sites.

It doesn't look like a terribly large capacity. Seems like this will make 3 or 4 large frozen drinks and be done?
Might as well just get a cheaper Ninja blender.

The version for sale directly from Ninja has the XL tank. I believe that's a 64 oz capacity, with a 15 minute freeze cycle.
Notice the larger tank compared to the photo from the OP:

You could, but you still have the inherent problem with any/all blender-based frozen drinks compared to a dedicated machine like this: Any machine that requires crushed/shaved ice will always be prone to watering down. This comes from experience - we own two VitaMix blenders and a Margaritaville machine.
The reason we pulled the trigger on this one is that the on-board freezing mechanism uses a compressor to get the auger cold. Whatever you're pouring in is what freezes, not diluting the product with ice that will invariably melt.
Let's not kid ourselves - It's definitely the whitest of white people problems that's solved by this machine. The price point is a happy medium of the larger, bulkier, noisier compressor-based alternatives. We've looked into those, and they're almost always designed for a commercial restaurant environment. The Slushi is designed for pro-grade results in a machine that's not going to overwhelm the space or be so loud that you have to shout over the compressor when it kicks on.

Way late to the party
This has been nearly impossible to get since it came out in Early July. Every time I get the in stock email, it's OOS by the time I get to the page

It was up for about an hour, right before noon EDT, and survived multiple refreshes before I created the thread.
Mrs. Vox said that when she was refreshing the page that came from the email link last week, it said out of stock, but there was a black box along the bottom where she could Add to Cart, anyway.
I just tried it and got an error, saying it was out of stock.
I wonder if they're dropping a limited number each day around noon. Pretty much the only way to get it this early is directly from Ninja.

Keep an eye out for the individual components as well. A couple of weeks ago you could order all components for the same price. Since then, they raised the price for the main base by $50 and most items sold out. Hopefully the full systems will return to stock soon, but I can attest to the simplicity of making frozen drinks (as long as you meet the thresholds for sugar % and alcohol %, if added).

Yeah, my wife was doing some hardcore stalking of the systems since she saw the first video about it midway thru July, and she showed me where folks were assembling their own machines with the parts available separately.
The link from their site when you sign up for email notifications seems to be the secret. Obviously it's a while supplies last situation each time, but the link appears to be the same, each time.
I moved the promo emails from Ninja Kitchen to my Priority Inbox on Gmail to ensure that it didn't get hung up in the Promotions folder.

Damn I was in Best Buy a couple weeks ago and saw these. They actually had several in stock. Thought about it but wasnt sure. Wanted to see some reviews first. Should have picked it up.

Correction, the XL tank holds 88 oz, not 64.

We've been buying Ninja products since the OG Ninja Master System prep bowl/pitcher combo originally debuted back on QVC about 15 years ago. Ours is still going strong, as a matter of fact.
It seems that the initial wave of these went out to "influencers" who posted on TikTok & Instagram with what this can do, and the desired results appear to have been achieved.
I haven't even seen space on the shelves yet at the retailers where they would be available, but that's just my corner of the Atlanta suburbs.

Yeah. I'm on an app that sends all kinds of random stuff to us in exchange for typed reviews, and lots of people got this recently.
Reviews have been generally positive, but keep in mind most reviews when a free product was received are positive. I love Ninja products, though.

I was chosen for something similar on Amazon. How do you get on this app?

It's called Influenster. I've been on it for years, and it now has millions of members, so you aren't guaranteed stuff. However, I have 9 campaigns open right now. And I have my settings to refuse to post any reviews on social media, so I only get campaigns that ask me to review via typing/text on their website.
I've gotten everything from cat treats and constipation medication.. to a whole arse COUCH, or a $300 Yale smart lock dialpad for the house.
They take things like how many Instagram followers you have into consideration, but it mostly boils down to demographics that the companies who partner with them are trying to reach. Where you live, how much you make, ethnicity, age, etc.

Awesome, thanks. We do something similar with Amazon. We recently got a set of night vision goggles which we have absolutely zero use for, but they're cool AF.
