Corn, potatoes, etc do you normally use??? Also after cookin for 15 minutes or so do you remove the fixins and throw them back in towards the end of the soak or just leave them in the entire time???

If the sack is 35-40lbs i usually have 3-4 of those little red bags of potatoes, 1 24pk frozen corn, 3 packs of sausage, 6 heads of garlic, 6 whole onions, 4 stalks of celery and a dozen lemons.
Throw everything in and let boil for 10-12 minutes. Dump the crawfish on top and kill the fire at the slightest sight of a bubble and let soak for about 20 minutes. Oh, and I don't put the corn in until I kill the fire.

Damn!!! That seems like a lot. You dont find that they get to spicy when you leave them in for the soak???

Depends on how much cayenne you're using. In a 100qt pot I use about 2 cups plus 6 bags of the zatarain's crab boil and 1 small bottle of liquid crab boil. I've never heard anyone say mine were too spicy.

I normally figure out how much corn and potato I use by the number of people I have. I then split it up for how much I have in each batch.
1 sack of crawfish would be about 7-9 people so I would use about 12 ears of corn and 12 potatoes (some people will eat 2 some wont)

At a lot of crawfish boils i have attended in the past it seems the crawfish will be just right, but the vegetables come out extremely spicy.. I am boiling for the first time Memorial Day. I am planning on using a bag of LA powdered boil, four zatarain bags , and a small bottle of liquid per sack....I just wasnt sure on the quanity of vegetables to use....

No I never buy whole corn just the minis.
Generally a person will eat 1-2 ears on average (small ears). I figure this in for all boils and still I have a lot of leftovers.
If you are worried about seasoning dont cut the potatoes in half.. I would take a shite load of time before they will soak up enough water to make them 'too spicey' as for corn you can boil ahead of time or cut the boil time. After you have one sack empty use that sack and boil everything in there and get them to where you like them then put in ice chest (no ice of course)

Holy crap...that is a ton of extras. As much as I hate to admit it, Catman has the right idea here. Base this on number of eaters, not crawfish. I would imagine you could feed like 15 people off of one pot of this (looks more like a low country boil than a crawfish boil at this point).
We put the potatoes in as the water is heating up; corn in once the fire is cut. Usually a pack of 8 baby ears of corn per sack, plus a 5lbs of small potatoes with the first batch of crawfish. This is ALWAYS too much; frankly, I don't really waste time or stomach space with anything but crawfish.

I figure 1 1/2 corn and potato per person. Also, one container (8 oz?) mushrooms for 3 people.
I boil the potatoes (b size) till barely tender before adding the crawfish. Remove and add them back with the corn and mushrooms after the crawfish is added and the fire is shut off.
