Will be staying in Thibodaux this weekend. Any must eat or drink places? Will be with people who don't know much about Louisiana, so hoping to bring them to some good places... TIA

+1 on Fremin's. It's in an old commercial building downtown, it's slightly nicer than most anything in the Thib, and the food is pretty good. Also downtown is Spahr's, which serves wild-caught fried catfish...it's a local institution; very casual spot.

No idea, but change your thread title or you will get the anchor quick.

I'll have to agree Fremins is the best we have in Thibodaux. Flannagans is decent for lunch as well as Sparhs for seafood. However recently I noticed Sparhs has gone up in prices. Bubba's is decent with a nice sports bar. For pizza I would suggest Peppers, they too have a cool little bar with probably the best beer selection in Thibodaux.

add the Foundry to this list for lunch. also probably the best place to drink in all of thibodaux

If you'll be in Thib, consider a tour of the newish Donner-Peltier Distillery. DP is making vodka, gin, rum, etc from LA grains & sugarcane. Tour info here: LINK

Thanks everyone. Any good bars or places to drink on say Thursday or Friday night?

Mudbugs on Friday if you want to check out the new brewery.

I'm having a hard time finding out anything about Mudbugs from my google search.. Do they serve food?

No food just a brewery and a taproom. They will be open Friday night but check on Facebook to make sure there's no private event.

My favorite lunch is the catfish chips and onion sticks at Spahrs. They make a great bloody, too.

Have to disagree on the Foundary. Bad food and dead bar.

Fremins is the best restaurant in Thib. I hear good things about Grady V's...and I've had some surprisingly good sushi at Geaux Fish.
Bar scene has something for everyone:
- Older laid back crowd: Fremins
- High school crowd: The Goose
- College crowd: Rox's
- Affliction/Down da bayou/Douchebag crowd: Last Call
There are a couple of other bars, but nothing great. I've only been to the Foundry a few times and thought it sucked each time.
If you want really good food, do as a poster above said and drive to Houma to eat at Cristiano's.
