Vieux Carre might have some. Can't really think of any places that have a big selection of poboy breads.

If you know someone that owns a restaurant that orders from Sysco foods, they sell frozen Leidenheimer french bread.

When I use to order sysco, about 6 month ago, they did have leidenheimer. They may have started stocking though

Reising and Leidenheimer is the real thing, so if you can get that, you're good.

I buy loaves of it when I go home and then freeze it for use later. I've got three long loaves of Reising's in the deep freeze now. Can't get it in Alabama at all.

Go to Ray's/Magic Grill and ask them where they get their bread. Not sure if they'd tell you, but it's easily the best po boy within a 200 mile radius.

Almost positive that it's Holsum bread.

I've found them in produce markets in Baton Rouge (because they import a lot of LA favorites from around the state). Not sure if any in Monroe do the same, but it might be worth a call.
