Poboy lunch in Lafayette

My parents mentioned going down to Baton Rouge to visit my aunt and uncle the Friday after Christmas. My dad mentioned going to Lafayette/Scott Saturday morning to pick up some boudin before they come back. They both enjoy poboys and I was looking for a couple of recs to grab one for a Saturday lunch. I know of Olde Tyme, but that’s about it. You guys haven’t let me down yet. Thanks in advance.

If you’re in Scott for boudin, you may as well go to Uncle T’s for poboys. No need to drive all around Lafayette.

Uncle T’s, Landry with sautéed crab meat added is a hit, too.

Pop's is my favorite. They have traditional and non-traditional.

Olde Tyme
The rest
ETA: I am talking about fried shrimp.
I really like Chris' roast beef too.

If you are already coming to Scot, go to Uncle T's.
If you're set on going into Lafayette, Pop's or Olde Time are both great.

Yeah…it’s tough to beat Olde Tyme for just a good, simple fried shrimp poboy.

I find that anytime I eat at pops it’s always very salty

I like the fried shrimp poboy from Olde Tyme the best, but the fried catfish and shrimp gumbo from Chris’s is done to perfection.

Chris special may be my favorite poboy on earth.

Shrimp or Half and Half (shrimp/oyster) can not be beat. Simplistic and classic poboy from Olde Tyme. They fry their shrimp/oysters perfectly. Pop's does have some good items too, but for the classic go Olde Tyme.

BJ's Poor Boys and Plate Lunches in Broussard is my go-to now for po' boys. Same people as Old Tyme, but for whatever reason, that kitchen in Broussard does it slightly better. Really can't put my finger on it.
