I've been eyeing those in the deli, but I don't think they'd make it to the pool.

Soggy nachos from the snack bar. Maybe a cheeseburger. Always Andy Capp Hot Fries.

We usually get a variety of Inga's sandwiches and have them cut them into 1/4s so we can mix and match.
These chips are the best summer chips too -

Man, that brings me back. Chips on a sandwich was an amazing thing. Usually at the beach or at the car while at Six Flags. Good stuff.

Took the following to the beach last weekend: kettle corn, potato chips, crudite, cold clementines, and the overwhelming winner of the day…ice cold pineapple soaked in Malibu rum.

Growing up in the 1970’s Mom was a stickler for the old “no swimming for 30 minutes after eating” rule. As a result all we could ever get was a single Zotz hard candy (has baking soda inside and acidic flavorings makes it fizz and foam up when you get to the middle).
Really sucks since Dad was such an outdoorsman the freezer was always full of fish and game, especially sucks as that’s when we lived in Tampa his work took him all over the State so we’d get both Gulf and Atlantic stuff all the time. (All you Florida posters can see his results in the Citgo gas stations still standing from the late 60’s, he chose sites and then designed the rest to fit the lots, usually odd shaped spaces) Could have been some really delicious beach/pool times.
BTW, I was just short of 3rd b’day when we moved from Winfield to Tampa and we moved to Metairie in 1971 before my 7th b’day and I can still remember it all. Treat yourself and your kids during these times, it’ll be a lifetime of good memories!!
