I was very impressed with this place.
Had the "Frite-A" I believe was the name. It was french fries and stew gravy on poboy bread.
Also had their loaded fries that had stew gravy, onions, cheese, etc ...
It was incredible. For sure will stop again next time I drive through town!
Anyone else have any reviews on it?

Great place. I've had the Surf n Turf, Cajun Castro, Hot Hot, and one of the daily special poboys in my 4 visits, and they've yet to disappoint.

It's easier to name what I haven't had.
Fried pickled okra and hush puppies with cane butter are both incredible.
Crawfish boil sausage, delcambre dandy, hot hot, Cajun Castro, surf and turf (sub shrimp for oysters), and any of the specials would all be one of the best poboys you'll ever have.

It's an excellent place. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for

Pop's > OTG ... and it ain't even close
the owner is a trained executive chef who worked at Blue Dog, Tsunami, and Commanders Palace. He's not afraid to think outside of the box and come up with new food ideas that are incorporated into his menu.

I ate there a while back and had the hot hot. I do not recommend it. It was so spicy that I had to force myself to eat half of the sandwich and then threw the other half away because my eyes were watering and I had hiccups. The sandwich literally had no flavor other than burn your tongue spicy. The spice also lingered in my mouth for like 30 minutes after I left. Awful experience.

you ordered a hot hot and you obviously can't take any heat. Smooth move.
The menu did not warn that it was sadistic level spicy though. I like spicy food as much as the next guy, that's why I ordered it....

Shouldn't have gone with just 1 HOT (not Hot Hot)

I saw the option for "not hot" but I did not see the option for a single hot on the menu.

The girl who took my order warned me and asked if I was sure. I loved it, but I'm a big fan of spicy stuff like that.

I've had almost all of them and the Boudreaux is actually my favorite so far

Pops is great, you just better have your afternoon clear before eating there.
