Looking to book a private room for 25: what's your favorite NOLA venue for private dining? (business group, not a social occasion)

I've used Shaya's upstairs room, the old private room at Kenton's (RIP, it was a nice space), the side room at Vincent's, the side "porch" at Superior Seafood and at Superior Grill....

For this group, I'm looking for quality, interesting food as a priority over decor/setting.

Thanks, y'all.

Herbsaint's minimum for its private room is $4K. Ouch. Hell, a whole-restaurant buyout of Marjie's starts at just $2K.

ralph's on the park's upstairs is made for what you are asking.

I've used it in the past, rooms are lovely. Food, however, is boring as hell. Like, hotel banquet boring. Boss is serious about food, I need something more ambitious, or at least not a relentless parade of menu cliches.

Anyone used the "Mile High Pie" room at Jack Rose? I haven't dined there, so I'm really looking for info on the food.

Get the upstairs room at Coquette. I'm sure chef Mike would let you have some input on the menu.

Best restaurant in the city.

if food truly is the focus, this would be an excellent choice

Restaurant August will always be the gold standard to me.

Arnauds is great.

Domenica

Central City BBQ has some nice private spaces as well.

If you order off the regular menu it is great, but the fixed menus for private events are typically much less interesting by nature (i.e. gumbo or salad, steak or seafood, dessert). Coquette is not as conservative in that sense.

Red's Chinese

The place looks like a dump and is in a sketchy party of town but the food is good and interesting

At August or in general?

I had my rehearsal dinner at August a few years back, they had the most ambitious private dining menu that I looked at in the city. If you had a generic private dining meal there the host chose to play it safe. I can find their menu options and post it

Before I read the responses Coquette was the first thing I thought of.
