I get the "we only serve chicken" approach...ie why they don't start having hamburgers or fish or something. What I don't get is why they don't have any dessert on the menu...

Pick a dessert (bread pudding, banana pudding, ice cream something, etc.) and go with it.

Thoughts?

I don't know anyone who orders desserts at fast food places. Seems like something a fat person would do.

I think this will have to happen at some point down the road.

They could use BR as the test market

I used to love getting apple pie and the Hershey's dessert at BK when I was a kid.

How the hell can you want a dessert after eating a box?

When you figure out how to profit better than they are now, please let us know.

They need spicy chicken fingers before a dessert or grilled chicken, IMO

The problem is the equipment considerations and cook time. Grilling a fresh chicken breast takes much longer than frying it. Cane's will never abandon the fresh chicken approach. Many of their stores are small (no room for more equipment) and the equipment need to make a quality grilled chicken is expensive. They are just not ready for it now.

I don't see the grilled chicken happening soon, but I always wondered why they don't have a chicken salad on the menu. That with their honey mustard sauce would be awesome.

They could do grill enders on a flat top easily. And the fresh aproach refers to never frozen, not precooking/blanching.

And soft serve ice cream is good an easy as well.

Won't matter to me either way, I don't like canes outside the sauce which I make at home anyway

Will all the health stuff now you would think. I mean McDonald's offers a fruit cup and grilled chicken. yeah let locals try it, if it flops, which it wouldn't...no harm.

Yep. Even working in a real restaurant, it makes me laugh when people come in on their 30 minute lunch break when we're on a wait and they get mad that their grilled chicken sandwich takes a while. HELLO.. It starts off raw. What do you expect?

I guess that 1500 calories you get from a box combo isn't enough, right?

Their lemonade is dessert.

But for real, I can see them adding make a malt/milkshake MAYBE. But that would be it. It would also require them to add new equipment to every store and modifying the layout of the kitchen. I don't see them ever changing that.
