Bioengineered for deliciousness. I think most of us knew that.

at what point in your life did you NOT think that 99% of packaged food items were GMO?

You can take this to the extreme and basically eliminate most of the food out there, as my wife does. Soy bean oil, sunflower seed oil…and if you can’t pronounce it, it isn’t good for you. It can be very time consuming but once you start, it’s pretty tough to return back and eat what you trained yourself to avoid.

Here is a truth for you to take with you.
There is no such thing as Non-GMO Mayonnaise. Even the Mayo you make in your kitchen will likely contain non-gmo components.
And the water in Louisiana is a tasty mixture of water and cancer inducing compounds introduced in runoff water from Illinois and Missouri.
And sunshine is the chief cause of skin cancer.
It's all for the best though. Not being able to identify the cause of death is really embarrassing to the coroner, which is why they secretly love gunshot wounds, car wrecks, and pit bulls.

Can you explain why GMO is bad and should be avoided?

I actually switched to all bioengineered foods about a year ago

The 95 calories/tablespoon are going to hurt me long before the GMOs do.

What food ISN'T bioengineered?

Can you please explain what bioengineered ingredients mean, give examples of products, and please explain why they are bad for us? Thanks.

How many tablespoons of mayo do you typically consume in a sitting?

All meats and practically all seafood fish/ except for one type of salmon that I've never seen for sale.
There are 7 or 8 fruit and vegetables, but again I've never seen them for sale anywhere I shop.
Processed foods are more likely to have some ingredient like soybean oil in them.
Here is a link to the full list.

You don’t think the cows and chickens are eating bioengineered corn?

I don't know. How many tablespoons are in the small jar?

Him and every other person on Facebook and Twitter don't know. This has been passed around the last week like it's the new tranny bud light situation

Yes most livestock are fed bioengineered corn and soybean meal. The DNA from GMO corn does not transfer to the meat, so beef/chicken/pork are not bioengineered foods.

It doesn't mean it is bad, but that's what everyone thinks. I don't know at what point that have to call it bioengineered but I'm going to assume that if the chicken that laid the egg ate some soybean meal that came from soybeans sprayed with roundup that they might have to call it that.

It's not that it IS bioengineered but WHY it is.
The predominant reason is so the crop can be heavily sprayed with weed killers such as glyphosate(Roundup) and when they spray weed killers they also spray fungicides, insecticides etc. All of this ends up in your food even if in small amounts where it can build up in your body over time.
This is also why grass fed/grass finished beef is better for you. The feed lots that fatten up cattle stuff them full of GMO grains and it can build up in the cows tissue since they are "concentrating" any toxins since they are being fed so much. So grass fed then grain finished looses it's favorable omega3/6 ratio and adds glyphosate etc.
ETA: Think of making a roast beef sandwich. GMO wheat in bread, GMO fed cow for roast beef, GMO fed cow for cheese, GMO mayo. If you look at all of the food you consume it is easy to see how "trace' amounts of any chemicals can add up quickly.
