RIP again to Borgne, probably the place we ate the most in new orleans while it was open.

The upscale seafood restaurant Borgne was once a popular spot in downtown New Orleans that was particularly bustling ahead of big events at the nearby venues, when people would pre-game at the bar. Its space within the Hyatt Regency Hotel at 601 Loyola St. has sat empty nearly four years. But it is slated to come back to life soon as a new restaurant as New Orleans prepares to host the Super Bowl right next door. Brothers Jack Rizzuto and Phil Rizzuto, who run Rizzuto’s Ristorante & Chop House in Lakeview, are planning a new restaurant in the space.

Which is a shame because the one in Lakeview sucks.

I was going to post this. We’d hit up their happy hour often about 10 years ago.
