I think thats more of a dip/dish.
I was thinking about the crab meat topping they put on steaks.
Thanks though!

I’ve never actually had the imperial crab but I’d imagine it’s sautéed crab with a ton of butter, lemon, and parsley

Most basic dish around.
Cook down a shallot
Add butter
Fav seasoning mix
Fold in lump crab meat
Cream if wanting that consistency

If you made crabmeat imperial to the Emerils recipe and spooned it over a steak it would be lights out.

Crab imperial is an old standard recipe: butter, crab, old Bay or similar seasoning, mayo, egg, lemon, parsley....mixed together & then broiled until the sauce thickens/glazes the crabmeat. Not sure if Ruffino's follows the classic version, or is simply applying the moniker "imperial" to a completely different thing.

The classic version is sort of a kissing cousin to crab au gratin (sans cheese, obvi).
