If you live in Houston or are visiting, do yourself a favor and go.
Quite possibly the best food I’ve ever had. Of any type cuisine.
Owner is Thai-Laotian and every dish has a story.
Thus the dishes are not just Thai, there is a Laotian influence as well.

We had:
Dumplings-good but not remarkable
Lao pork egg rolls-outstanding
Nam Khao-phenomenal. I’m not even a big fried rice guy but this was it.
Tom Yum-excellent loaded with flavor
Red Curry-also excellent
Drunken Noodles-only thing that was just good.

After we were done she recommended we try the Lao Chicken Noodle Soup next time. Being American it didn’t sound like anything special. Will try next time.

Would much prefer this place than say Street to Kitchen...give me food, not your politics.

I will surely try when I fly back for some relaxation, see family and have a meeting with a new client.

Yesterday I had lunch with 2 Thai ladies who own Thai restaurants here in Abu Dhabi, including the newest one. Excellent like most of them. The owner of the newest one brought in her aunt as Executive Chef, as all of the restaurants have Thai chefs and kitchen staff, and even waitresses. Some use Filipinos as waitresses as there are close to 1 million in this country.

I cook some mean Pad Krapow moo, gai, gung, neu and many other dishes as I have been to Thailand over 60 times

Thanks for the suggestion. Will need to figure out a day to try. That’s way up there’s, homes. North of Cottonwood.

30 minutes south of where I am.

It’s barely outside 610 which is practically downtown these days.

Then again, I lived in Sugarland when there were 2 high schools in Fort Bend County (Dulles and Lamar) and Sugarland was 4000 people.

I’ve driven by a million times but ever popped in until tonight. We got the dumplings, Thai basil chicken and red curry. Agree on the dumplings, good not great but the chicken and curry were outstanding. The AC was not pumping, and the food had a little kick so got a little sweat going but was delicious.

Thanks for the rec!
