I second Spoonbill for lunch. I really enjoyed Scratch Farm Kitchen for breakfast/brunch.

I could also highly recommend Poseidons for lunch for the best lamp chops in town, if you’re in the mood for something like that.

Wanted to give a specific upvote for Dwyers, a third generation family restaurant. Maybe not as trendy as French Press, or others, but the heart and soul of old downtown Lafayette.
