Shelf life of unopened whiskey?

Today, at my mother's house I found six bottles of unopened Seagrams VO. It was in a small locker that is tucked under the stairs. The locker is surrpounded on all sides by living space, so i dont think it ever got that hot in there. My mother wasn't even aware it was there. My father passed on in 1986, so I know it is at least that old. Is this stuff still drinkable?

There is stuff that was bottled before prohibition and it is still good. If it is cloudy don't drink otherwise you are good to go

There was a time around 12-15 years ago, I was buying Stitzel-Weller branded bottles of liquor on eBay on the cheap before the bourbon craze. Most of it was from the 1960s and was branded Old Fitzgerald, Weller and Old Cabin Still. I drank it heartily with no ill effects. Too bad you can't get any of them now for less than $500 or more.

If it's unopened, it should be good to go. My dad gave me a bottle that his boss gave him the day before his wedding 30 years ago and that shites delicious.

Does not compute.

I got a bottle of Elijah Craig 18 that was bottled in 1982 so that puts it barreled in 1964 if my math is right. This was last year. The stuff was great.

It takes more than some cloudiness to keep me from drinking good whiskey, like shards of broken glass.

I have drank crown from the late 50s.
Tasted just as shitty as new crown.
