What y'all bringing?

The dude who is throwing the party is doing a Brisket and ribs on the smoker.

What's something easy and good I can bring so I'm not the dude that shows up empty handed?

My crawfish dip is pretty popular. I actually make it so often now that I don't even eat it. I can give you the recipe if you'd like.

Marinated crab claws. Not cheap but they will get devoured

Boiled shrimp with cocktail and remoulade

Smoked salmon dip

Pasta salad

All those can be brought cold so you don't have to use any kitchen equipment

I see my serial stalking downvoter Pawl has found me.

Deviled eggs are always appreciated.

Smoked salmon dip
damn I was just thinking about this dish from Houston's the other day and almost went there for lunch just to get it.

Never thought about trying my hand at it myself.

8oz cream cheese
8oz velveeta
Worcestershire
Jarred Diced jalapeños
8 oz can of rotel
1lb of crawfish tales (store bought- sometimes not quite 1lb)
Cup or so of trinity

Melt 1 stick of butter and cook down roughly a cup of so of trinity until clear
Dump pack of tails into pot and season a little bit with tonys or whatever you like and cook for a few minutes
Add can of rotel
Add 8oz of diced cream cheese and 8oz of diced velveeta
Add a couple splashes of Worcestershire
Add a couple of tablespoons of diced jalapeños and maybe some juice depending on how much heat you want
Melt all together and serve with Frito scoops

That seems easy as shite.

I don't exactly have that many tools in the kitchen so these types of schemes would be right in my wheelhouse.

Thanks.

That's about the only one on the list I would maybe buy if you haven't ever done it.

Good dish for a party though

Guacamole. I brought some to a big rare beer share since I didn't have any rare beers to share...the guac was a huge hit.

How hard is the marinated crab claws?

I guess I'd need to think of what I bring and if I have the proper serving dish. Or I could just have it in a container and have my buddy's wife plate it for presentation

Super easy. Takes maybe 20minutes and it gets devoured everywhere I bring it.

Super easy. All you have to do is combine the ingredients and coat the claws in them. The claws come in the container already ready to eat.

Google Emeril's marinated crab claws recipe. It's a lot of ingredients but you can omit some of the herbs to keep the cost down.
