Went overboard at the seafood market and ended up with 36 soft shell crabs.
I can fry them, and will, but any sautéed or unique ways to prepare them?

Invite us over! I enjoy them naked, sautéed in butter.

Clean them and lightly dust with flour, then fry them.

After cleaning, dredge lightly in seasoned flour. Set aside.
Heat a skillet over med high heat, and add a few T each of butter and EVOO.
Saute the crabs until done, flipping when browned.
Remove the crabs and pour off most of the frying oil. Add a few pats of butter and bring to heat. Add a couple of T of capers, some fresh parsley, and a T or 2 of lemon juice. Taste for salt and pepper. Pour over the crabs.

Man, there is nothing better than a sautée in butter, garlic, and maybe some thyme
And lightly dust with flour if you prefer more crunch
And of course, almond slivers.

What’s Otis said! Love them with lemon, garlic and capers. Also use that fancy BBQ pit you have and grill some basting lightly with a sweet and spicy BBQ sauce.

Fried, placed on a scoop of rice with thai curry of your choice ladled on top of that.

This is a man that doesn't screw around.
-Soft shelled crab meuniere
-Fry them all and make poboys.
-They play well with capers and lemons and zingy flavors like that.
-They also play well with cream
Season, lightly dust them in flour and saute them lightly in browned butter. Make up a cream/minced shallot/caper/lemon type pan sauce with the drippings. Toss your favorite pasta in your new sauce and serve it next to your crispy sauteed crab. Open a bottle of white wine. Eat, drink, and be merry.

fry some but its also great to boil them like you do regular crabs
if it were me i would fry a dozen, broil a dozen in oven, and boil a dozen
then serve one of each to the family as a 3 different ways treat
