What do you baws think? Worth the knuckle drive?

Hearty Chili Bowls are available in two varieties:

Hearty Chili Bowl: Chunks of beef and a full serving of vegetables, bold seasonings, and served piping hot.

Loaded Hearty Chili Bowl: Hearty chunks of beef, a full serving of vegetables and bold seasonings, all topped off with Fritos corn chips, shredded cheese and diced onions.

The Hearty Chili Bowl can be found at participating locations nationwide for a suggested price of $2.49, while the Loaded Chili Bowl carries a suggested price of $2.99. Prices may vary by location.

I had a bowl of Wendy’s chili a couple days ago. Good as always and quite the bargain @ $2.50. I may try Sonic’s offering today to compare.

I like the chili cheese tots, but a bowl of chili looks gross

I went with the Hearty chili bowl instead of the loaded chili bowl. I wanted to gauge the chili itself without all the other stuff. I did add cheese which elevated the price from $2.49 to $3.00.

Packaging- smaller tha Wendy’s by probably half. This is more of a snack and not a filler upper

Aroma- Hints of onion and peppers ride on a delicate wave of cumin and chili powder. Smells like chili

Mouthfeel- Slightly lumpy but not much more texture than their hotdog chili. Certainly would not pass muster with Powerman and the other stew meat chil types. There are beans, maybe 5 total. Hardly a deal breaker, even if you are not a bean person.

Taste- If you like their hotdog chili, which I do, you could eat this. But it’s not that great by itself in a bowl. Needs to be on a footlong.

Conclusion- Not near as good as Wendy’s in taste or value. IMO they take their hotdog mix, add puréed burger patties and onions and put it in a bowl. It’s edible but hardly hearty. C-

But don’t take my word for it. Go drop 3 bones and try it for yourself

I just finished a bowl myself. I didn't order it this way, but it was covered in cheese. I don't like cheese in my chili, so I scooped it off.

The chili was very good, better than Wendy's. But as mentioned above, the bowl was tiny - I'd guess about a cup and a half. The beans were blown out and all that was left solid of them were the skins.

I don't know if I'd go there just for this chili again.

Hmm. Did you get the one with the fritos and whatnot? That one is supposed to come with cheese. They clipped me for 50cent for my cheese.

Strongly disagree

Mine were the opposite. Little on the firm side.

Wendy’s has that chili sauce in those little packs that give them the edge.

I ordered the regular. She asked if I wanted the deluxe and I said no.

It sounds like you and I had 2 very different experiences.

I agree Gris Gris. Why must all these places put beans in their chili?

Chili = has no beans
Chili beans = has beans

beans!
