Anybody here eat this? Got a good recipe? They always talk about it on Everybody Loves Raymond and I’m curious.

You sure it wasn't steak braciole?

Yep. 100%. But now I need to investigate that.

I had never heard of steak pizzaiola, but I see on google that it is a thing. I remember the braciole episode where Debra decided to prove she could make an Italian dish and made braciole. Everyone loved it, especially Frank, and Marie couldn't believe it.

braised beef in tomato sauce, super easy
there’s tons of recipes if you need guidance
Sear the beef (you can use chuck)
make a tomato sauce however you like it
put the beef in the sauce cover it and simmer

Yes, I make it regularly. Cook one strip steak for each person you are serving. While the steaks rest, saute a chopped onion, chopped bell pepper, and 2 cloves of minced garlic in a skillet. Add a little red wine to deglaze the pan and then add a can of whole tomatoes. Add 1 tsp. If Italian seasoning. Cook for 20 minutes and then add the steak to the skillet. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. This is good served with garlic bread and a Caesar salad.

Good dish. I used to enjoy this at Andrea’s, but alas, that is no more. I am sure the recipe in the cookbook that he wrote with Tom Fitzmorris.

Plenty video recipes on YouTube. Oregano is a key component.
