A group of us rent beach houses within walking distance every year. This year, each family has a day of the week they produce a cocktail for the group.

Wife (no pics) is thinking mojitos, which I also like, but just wanted to see what everyone else is making in the same situation.

Hard to settle on just one, but below are my initial choices, in no particular order.

Mojitos, but some variation thereof if it involves competition (e.g., strawberry or watermelon).

Jalapeño Pineapple Margarita.

Some form of spritz (e.g., Aperol spritz).

Negroni

Go-To Cocktail, with Cucumber Vodka and Eldeflower liqueur.

On the beach my favorite drink is rum and pineapple juice with a splash of maraschino cherry juice

Don't overthink it.

Mojitos are a great beach choice (had one out at the pool this weekend). But, IMO, more than 1 or 2 and they just get to "sugary".

Go with a classic Margarita. Good tequila; Cointreau, fresh lime juice, agave nectar (optional). Easy to make. Guaranteed to "relax".

A Pimms cup is another beach option and very compatible to making in pitcher

Moscow Mules... could give everyone a copper mug to take home if you could find some cheap enough.

For liquors I like tequila, gin, sometimes rum. Generally focus on drinks using fresh squeezed juices (lemon, lime, orange, etc) and fruits like watermelon or strawberry. Stay away from adding to much artificial sugars which will likely make the batches too sweet after a while. A beach drink should be refreshing, not dessert.

Also don't be afraid to add a little salt (why margaritas are such a good choice) and even a little pepper/spice.

Ordered this today. Love rum old fashions.

My summertime beach cocktail is a good, local pale ale.

Good choice. Depending on how many families and to prevent duplicate drinks, I'd probably go with a Caipirinha.

Ranch water has my vote after just getting back from a week of drinking them at the beach.

Very satisfying and easy to drink all day.

"Tee Time"
4oz Vodka (JT Meleck)
8oz Orange (Monster) Energy Drink
3oz Pineapple juice
1oz Lime juice
1oz Simple syrup

You can adjust the juices and syrup to make it as tart or sweet as you would like. While I've never been shite-faced on them, I have been fairly drunk but never had a hangover from them
