It was written like a paid review by a blogger. Might be 100% correct, but it came off like something an advertising agency would write.

I don’t get on TD enough lately to know that I can trust Jambo for reviews, which is why I said it could be an employee or a friend/family. Like I said to begin, some old regulars of mine that are older did rave about the place. They aren’t the biggest foodies but I do value their opinion. I think SC is over the top with a lot of things, but I like that they are attempting something new that no other place in Louisiana is doing as for as the ambiance.
Leighton and his team need to execute for it to work. Gimmicks only go so far if the food isn’t worth it.

We are begrudgingly keeping our Friday reservation and agreed to go in totally open minded.

Look forward to the review, LL

You haven't even set foot in the place but this your attitude. You don't want to like it.

What has anyone involved in Supper Club done to invoke such feelings or where you just trying to be dramatic?

Yea it’s something “new” in so far as there’s nothing like it right now. But from what we’ve seen so far, this “new” is really fricking douchey.
Arm candy and side prices as categories on a menu? Come on man.

Well. Look at the food and the menu pictures posted here FROM THE RESTAURANT for starters.

Not disagreeing with this, but how about you actually try the restaurant? If it’s affliction and Ed hardy douchy (pictures tend to say yes), so be it. At least support a new, local place before shitting in it. If you hate it after, never go again

Menu is meh
Dishes look like shite
I’ll give it a couple months before I check it out

I had some acquaintances who went on Friday night who posted pics. It was funny because they were the first couple that immediately came to mind when I first heard of this place: money to burn and wanting to be seen.

wanting to be seen.

Just got back from this place. Don’t waste your money. It’s cheesy as frick and the 16 oz ribeye was mediocre at best. Will not be going back.

Can you give more details on your meal?
Posted on 5/22/22 at 8:26 am to madamsquirrel
Yes, they go on trips all the time. Just came back from some some tropical Mexican destination -- Cabo maybe? They want to be considered among the BR "elite" yet meanwhile the dude rocks Robert Graham shirts and jeans straight outta the 90s

Having categories on a menu like that automatically disqualifies you from even getting a chance from me. Having someone or a team involved that actually said, “yea this is going to be a cool thing to have on our menu,” invalidates anything else you do. Sorry.

OK, so maybe not the 90s... but early 2000s

If a poster named partyboy didn’t like this joint it has very little hope imo
