Anyone use this? Looks OK for a quick couple of pounds of shrimp. Wondering about quality of the product. Thanks.

I saw this this other day. Is it just a plastic bucket? How does it work?

I don't see any advantage over using a big pot on the stove or burner. Just something else to clutter my storage shed.

I have one and for a small boil it is easy and convenient...plus its electric.

My friend Sean sells them.

I have used my once and the shrimp came out great!

Yea but how inconvenient is a small pot on a burner or stove?

I can knock out a small boil on a 16qt real quick on the stove or burner outside.

This is just another swindle on the outdoor cookers. As others mentioned, use a damn pot.

Dude I saw selling them said to bring the shrimp to a rolling boil for three minutes. So we might just have to agree to disagree.

Much easier than WHAT though? Look I know you’re trying to help your friend that sells them. I get it.

This cuts out basically the need for a propane tank I guess?

Factor in the fact that you now need electricity (I believe) and you’re at a wash for a tailgate.

I see no benefit.

I did not start this thread...I just answered what my experience using the product was like.

If it was a shite product I would say so.

I have one already...I could give a shite if anyone else on this board does.

I just got one from my MIL today, it looks like an electrocution waiting to happen.

Instructions says to fill to line on bucket, is that enough water? seems kind of low for 3-10 lbs of seafood.

I will give it a shot. Though typically when I boil seafood it’s for a large group, so I’d be more likely to resort to the usual propane boiling rig. I kind of feel like if I pulled this out in front of a group I’d get laughed out of town. I guess if it’s just me and the wife it would do.

Make sure your swamp bucket says “Back Brusly” on it. That’s how you know it’s legit.

It do.

Saw on YouTube there’s a Pepsi to their Coke called Captain Gravels boil n a bucket. Not sure who came first. Both look a bit dodgy.

It’s precisely the invention I expect to come out of Back Brusly.

So it's a $20 food-grade bucket and lid and a $15 heating element that they are selling for $90? Sounds like a steal.

Heating up plastic can cause chemicals and whatnot to contaminate the water in the bucket. No clue if it’s an issue with these, but I’m curious if it is.

I love it for smaller batches of shrimp for the wife and I. Don't have to drag out the propane and big pot, easier to clean, and don't have to stink up the house on the stove. Haven't used it for crawfish yet.
