Going next Saturday for the first time. What should I expect? TIA

Expect to be surrounded by movers and shakers

Not particularly good at either

A lot of photo ops for the gram.

Good food but grossly overpriced for BR. Paying the same for a meal in NY or Vegas doesn't make me feel like a sucker in the same way. But the food is good. Order the bread (not complimentary of course), you'll like it

Expect to have your choice of side pieces.

Its douchey and over the top but the food is very good. Curious what the people saying very overpriced are expecting. The steaks are prime and priced accordingly with other prime steakhouses.
The prawn appetizer is great. The A5 wagyu is fun to try as an app. We just get a minimum serving. Its super rich. All the sides have been very good and the steaks are arguably the best in the city.
They have a great wine list and their sommelier has free range and a very large budget to get stuff that no one else has. Just give him a style and price range and youre good to go.
The place gets ripped on here and I wanted to hate it but go in with an open mind expecting it to be over the top and have fun. The food is great. Its also good people watching

Best steaks in Baton Rouge. Sides and appetizers blow Ruth's Chris out of the water.
Atmosphere is loud, crowded, and kind of obnoxious.

You should expect the same crowd as Juicy Seafood; just dressed up a little.
Seriously, it is not as good as it was hyped. It’s gimmicky. If you’re wowed by the chocolate fountain at Golden Corral, then you’ll love it.

Well done. An actual review. Cheers.

Is it a place you go back to or does the novelty wear off after the 1st visit?

We went with a group of 6. We shared bites of everything and the streak was hands down the best thing on the menu.
I would go back to get the steak. It was phenomenal.
It was expensive, but steak is expensive everywhere in BR and we have had some duds. Def don’t mind paying for steak that is worth it- and the fillet was worth the price.
Someone had a birthday at the next table and there was quite the musical theatrical performance about it.
The lighting in there is dark so you do feel intimate with your table, but it is also fun to notice things going on in the rest of the place.

The Supper Club is someplace I have no desire to dine at for some reason. It just doesn't appeal to me.

I want to hate it because it’s so pretentious, but the food has been 10/10 every time I’ve gone.

Steaks are good but Ruth's Chris are better. Sides/appetizers depend on what you like. Supper Club may have more interesting options to you, but what Ruth's Chris does it does very well.
You earned those downvotes.

Sagrera beef out of Ethel, LA is argualbly some of the best in the US. Stuff you wont find in any other restaurants besides John Folse's place

Beef from Ethel is arguably the best in the entire United States?
